A young woman, Shelia, was involved in a tragic incident on July 6, 2012.
In the incident, she and her high school best friend Rachel Shoaf were responsible for the murder of 16-year-old Skylar Neese.
The case gained public attention when West Virginia prosecutors officially named Shelia the second alleged perpetrator on September 4, 2013.
She was charged with one count of kidnapping, one count of first-degree murder, and one count of conspiring to murder by a grand jury on September 6, 2013.
In light of the evidence, she pleaded guilty to first-degree murder as part of an agreement with prosecutors, acknowledging her involvement in Skylar’s untimely death.
Moreover, Shelia is serving her sentence at the Lakin Correctional Center in Mason County, West Virginia.

Born on September 28, 1995, in Blacksville, West Virginia, she grew up as an only child.
Likewise, Shelia Eddy parents went through a divorce in 2000.
Following the separation, Tara relocated to Morgantown, West Virginia, with her new husband, Jim Clendenen, in October 2010.

However, tragedy came in July 2012 when she and her friends were engaged in the murder of Nesse.
In response to the heinous crime, her mother Tara filed a movement in Monongalia County Circuit Court, claiming her innocence and no responsibility for the murder.
In 2014, Mary Neese, the victim’s mother, took legal action against Rachel Shoaf, Shelia, Patricia Shoaf (Rachel’s mother), Tara, and others.
In her defense, Tara argued that she could not be responsible as she did not have control over her daughter during the night of the murder when Shelia stayed at the Shoaf residence.
Additionally, Clendenen pointed out that Mary Neese publicly stated on social media that she does not blame Eddy’s parents for their daughter’s actions.

While personal aspects of her life remain unknown, the murder case has garnered significant attention.
Skylar Neese, a close friend of Eddy and Rachel Shoaf during their high school years, fell victim to a horrifying crime committed by her supposed friends.
Neese’s lifeless body was discovered in Wayne Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, in January 2013.
It was in December 2012 that Shoaf confessed to law enforcement about her involvement in Neese’s murder.

She revealed a chilling plot she had directed alongside Shelia.
According to court records, Shoaf recounted how she and her friend lured Neese into Eddy’s car, driving to Pennsylvania, where they engaged in social activities.
At a predetermined moment, Shoaf and Eddy mercilessly stabbed Skylar to death.
Subsequently, they unsuccessfully attempted to bury her body, concealing it under branches in a nearby ditch.
Seven months later, Shoaf confessed to the police, leading them back to the crime scene where Neese’s remains were eventually recovered.

Following the incident, she and her best friend, Rachel, faced the consequences of their heinous act.
On January 24, 2014, she pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.
She was handed a life sentence in prison, with the possibility of parole after 15 years.
On the other hand, her friend Rachel pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on May 1, 2013.

She also received a 30-year prison sentence, with eligibility for parole after a decade.
The breakthrough in the investigation occurred when Shoaf confessed to plotting Skylar’s murder alongside Eddy.
They did not like Nesse and did not want to be friends anymore, which was why they killed her.
