Later, Nicola Sturgeon’s husband was arrested in association with an investigation into Scottish National Party finances. He was questioned into Police custody on Wednesday morning. The officers claimed that they were conducting searches at various places as part of the investigation. The Police went up around Sturgeon’s home. Furthermore, the investigation was launched after objections about the SNP’s handling of Euro 600,000 in donations from the Party to Campaign for and hold second sovereignty. It is reported that the cash was used to aid with the Party’s daily running costs.
