American actor and singer Tracy Darrell Adkins specializes in country music. He made his breakthrough in 1996 with the Capitol Records Nashville CD Dreamin’ Out Loud.
The singer has since put out two Greatest Hits collections and eleven additional studio albums. More than 20 of his recordings have reached the Billboard country music charts, including the Number One hits “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” and “You’re Gonna Miss This,” which reached their peaks in 1997, 2007, and 2008, respectively.

Trace Adkins Illness: Does He Have Cancer?
Although Trace does not have cancer, he has previously been admitted to a rehab facility due to his alcohol addiction. Other than that, Trace doesn’t appear to be ill.
However, on social media, he had been posting updates regarding his pal Toby Keith’s stomach cancer. However, he had open heart surgery after being shot by his ex-wife.

The singer moved to Nashville in 1992 to give music another go, but controversy followed him there. Two years after moving, Adkins, who had divorced Lewis in 1990, was shot while attempting to subdue Julie Curtis, his second wife, after a heated argument over his drinking turned physical. He required immediate open-heart surgery since the bullet had passed through both his lungs and his heart.

After getting into a brawl on a cruise ship in 2014, Adkins went into rehab again, but he says he has overcome his drive to drink. He attributes his physical and mental well-being to his daughters and grandchildren, as well as his fourth wife Victoria Pratt, 51, whom he views as an “angel,” and his daughters.

“Victoria makes me drink kale smoothies, and she cooks really healthy stuff,” he says. “Plus, I do a lot of physical work at home. I feel great.”
After all, he’s weathered, the vocalist is thankful to still be standing. “It’s been a wild ride,” he says, “and I’m fortunate to still be here.”

The son of Peggy Carraway and Aaron Doyle Adkins, the American country music performer was born in Sarepta, Louisiana, on January 13, 1962. James W. Carraway (1923–2008), a Christian musician, was his maternal uncle.
His father purchased him a guitar when he was ten and hired a teacher to give him lessons, which sparked his passion for music at a young age. he joined a gospel singing group called the New Commitments while attending the now-defunct Sarepta High School.
The vocalist was a part of the FFA as well. Later, he studied in Ruston at Louisiana Tech University. He was a walk-on offensive lineman for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team. After his first season, he was forced to leave the team due to a knee injury, but he never took part in a game.
Adkins never earned a degree. He worked on an oil rig following his time in college. Additionally, he was a musician for the Bayou band. Prior to pursuing a career in music, he previously held a position as a pharmacy technician.
He accidentally cut off the pinky finger on his left hand while using a knife to open a pail, and he requested that the finger be amputated at an angle so that he could keep playing the guitar.

The American singer spent the following few years performing in honky-tonk clubs in the Ark-La-Tex region until relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1992. He met Rhonda Forlaw, an executive at Arista Records Nashville, in the latter part of 1994.
Over the following few years, Forlaw invited a lot of friends from the music business to see the singer perform. Adkins was playing at Tillie and Lucy’s tavern in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, when Scott Hendricks of Capitol Nashville “on the spot” signed him.
