Dax Tejera Cause Of Death
Dax Tejera’s cause of death has officially been made public, and in contrast to what ABC News president Kim Godwin claimed earlier this month, the ABC News producer did not pass away on December 23 due to a heart attack.
According to ET, Tejera choked to death while out to dinner at Bobby Van’s Steakhouse with his wife and friends because he was intoxicated. Tejera died from “asphyxia due to obstruction of the airway by food bolus exacerbating acute alcohol intoxication,” a spokeswoman for the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner told ET.
Tejera served as an executive producer for George Stephanopoulos’ This Week. He was 37.
Tejera’s wife, Veronica, was detained shortly after the tragedy on suspicion of abandoning their 2-year-old and 5-month-old girls alone at the Yale Club in the hours preceding Dax’s untimely demise.
