On July 5th, 2012, Skylar Neese, vanished from her home mysteriously for a while.
Tragically, her body was discovered in January 2013 in Wayne Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
The perpetrators of this crime were two of Skylar’s close friends who are Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf.
In December 2012, Shoaf confessed to authorities, revealing that she and Eddy had planned and executed Neese’s murder.

Shelia Eddy Family Details
Shelia, convicted of murder, hails from a family with parents named Tara Clendenen and Gref Eddy.
She was born on September 28, 1995, in Blacksville, West Virginia, and was raised as an only child.
In 2000, when Shelia was young, her parents went through a divorce.
After the separation, her mother, Tara, moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, in October 2010 with her new husband, Jim Clendenen.
Tragedy struck in July 2012 when Shelia Eddy and her friends were involved in the murder of Sylar Neese.

Following this horrific crime, Shelia’s mother Tara filed a motion on Monongalia County Circuit Court, asserting her innocence and disclaiming any responsibility for the murder.
In 2014, Mary Neese, the mother of the victim, took legal action against Rachel Shoaf, Shelia, Patricia Shoaf (Rachel’s mother), Tara, and others involved.
Tara defended herself by claiming that she couldn’t be held accountable as she had no control over her daughter’s actions on the night of the murder.
Shelia had stayed at the Shoaf residence during that time.
Furthermore, Clendenen highlighted that Mary Neese openly expressed on social media that she does not hold Eddy’s parents accountable for their daughter’s actions.

On July 5, 2012, Skylar Neese, after finishing her shift at Wendy’s returned to her family’s apartment in Star City, West Virginia.
Surveillance footage from her apartment complex revealed that Neese left her apartment through her bedroom window at around 12:30 a.m. on July 6.
She was seen getting into a sedan with Rachel Shoaf and Shelia Eddy, her high school friends.

Eddy and her companion Rachel Shoaf murdered Skylar by stabbing and concealing her body in a wooded area in Pennsylvania.
The reason Shoaf gave for the killing was that Shelia and Shoaf “disliked her” and “no longer wanted to be friends with her.”
